The NSWERS Executive Council is led by the Council President, Dr. Brian Maher, Commissioner of Education. Additional members of the NSWERS Executive Council include: Dr. Paul Turman, Chancellor of the Nebraska State College System (Vice President);  Dr. Leah Barrett, President of Northeast Community College, representing all six Nebraska community college areas (Secretary/Treasurer); and Dr. Jeffrey Gold, President of the University of Nebraska (Member). The NSWERS Executive Council meets quarterly.
